Green Meadows Travel

has been
appointed as the General Sales Agent (GSA) for KD-Avia in Jordan and
Syria for
the
Russian Carrier
based in
Kaliningrad,
Russia.
Green
Meadows Travel and Tourism
aims to encourage outbound travel from the Russian region to Jordan, promoting tourism in
Jordan, and to help Jordanian traders import their goods from Russia or the countries of
the Commonwealth Independent States through the Kaliningrad Free Zone Ports.
KD-Avia
is the national carrier of Kaliningrad which is a Russian Free Zone that is
located on the Baltic Sea and among Lithuania, Belarus and Poland.
KD avia
was founded in 2002. It has scheduled flights from Russia via Khrabrovo, an international transit airport in Kaliningrad. KD avia currently has flights to London, Berlin, Hanover, Barcelona, Hamburg, Dusseldorf, Munich, Prague, Athens, Rome, Milan, Kyiv, Moscow, St.-Petersburg, Chelyabinsk, Ufa, Nizhny Novgorod, Omsk, Tyumen, Samara, Kazan, Volgograd. KD avia has a fleet of 15 Boeings 737- 400 and By the end of 2008 it will have 25 Boeings.
Khrabrovo International Airport is the only Russian airport designed for transit air travel with brand new terminal to comfort passengers on the ground with passenger flow by 1000 an hour transit travelers.
KD-Avia
is an entirely private company known for experienced top management, advanced development strategies, intensively modernized fleet and, most importantly, a successfully implemented project to set up Russia's first air traffic hub that provides a convenient connection between Russian and European cities. “Expect
More With Oman Air” Awareness Workshop For Travel Agents
Oman Air conducted a two-day awareness workshop titled “
Expect More with Oman Air”. It was organized by its General Sales Agent Green Meadows
Travel and Tourism, and was held at the Radisson SAS Hotel during the
period 11-12 February. Approximately 50 front liners
Employees attended the workshop, representing a variety of Travel Agencies.
The workshop incorporated an awareness seminar to update travel agents
concerning Oman Air products, and make added information
regarding Oman Air new flight schedules available, which will commence with four
frequencies starting February 17th.
The
seminar illustrated the recompenses of traveling with Oman Air, also focused
on the carrier’s competitive offered prices, in particular to Dubai, Bangkok
and Chittagong. The procedures of issuing Visas to Dubai
through Oman Air were also discussed, on top to the new
baggage grant to 40 KGS instead of 20 KGS for Economy class passengers to
all destinations out of Amman.
It is worth mentioning that Oman Air flies to 25 destinations at present, in
which 10 are in the Middle East: Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Jeddah, Riyadh, Bahrain,
Doha, Kuwait, Beirut, Cairo and Amman. Also to 10 destinations in the Indian
subcontinent: New Delhi, Mumbai, Kochi, Madras, Trivandrum, Hyderabad,
Chennai, Lucknow, Jaipur, and Karachi also, Chitagong in Bangladesh, in
addition to London in Europe and Bangkok in the Far East, as well as 3
domestic destinations: Muscat, Salalah and Khasab.
Ukraine
International became a member of the Association of European Airlines
January 1st
2008 UIA became the official member of the Assocіatіon
of European Aіrlіnes,
uniting 33 leading air carriers of the continent.
According
to UIA`s President Yuri Miroshnikov: “Joining the Assocіatіon
of European Aіrlіnes
by UIA is quite natural and logical step. Ukraine International has been the
leading air carrier between Ukraine and Western Europe for 15 years, and has
close partnership relations with many airlines – this
organization’s
members. We are sure that joining the AEA will uphold the development of
UIA`s business and Ukrainian aviation in whole and will be the next step on
the way of
Ukraine’s
entering European Common Aviation Area».
Being AEA`s official member, UIA will have the possibility to participate in
forming the all European aviation policy, in optimization of European
legislation base and regulations in air carrying, taking into account the
interests of Ukrainian aviation. New possibilities are open before the UIA
in collaboration between European airports, air traffic authority and other
subjects of European and world air transportation.
Peter Hartman, the president and the executive director of the KLM Royal
Dutch Airlines, who became a head of the Association in 2008, noted that the
entry of the Ukrainian airlines into AEA will expand the horizons of AEA and
bringing an exciting new dimension to the scope of the Association.
Association of European Airlines (AEA), founded in 1952, is one of the most
powerful and influential professional organizations in civil aviation. Among
its members there are such leading airlines as Austrian Airlines, British
Airways, Finnair, KLM, Lufthansa, SWISS and others. According to the AEA’s
statistics annually its members carry 320 ml passengers and 6 ml t of cargo.
They operate 2400 aircrafts, which serves the flights to 620 cities in 160
countries. Every day they operate around

Ukraine International
Airlines is Ukraine’s leading international carrier. Founded in 1992, UIA

DOTW in The First Annual
Jordan Travel Mart (JTM)
Destinations of the World - Levant
participated in the first annual Jordan Travel Mart (JTM),
that was conducted by Jordan Tourism Board Feb. 10-12, 2008, at the King
Hussein Bin Talal Convention Center at the Dead Sea.
The event was attended by more than 100 tour
operators and “buyers” of tourism products and services – and travel
journalists from North and Latin America .
Among more than 50 representatives of Jordan
hotels, receptive operators, and other suppliers of travel services in
Jordan; DOTW – LEVANT participated in this event as one of the major
Travel and Tourism wholesaler companies in Jordan and had the
opportunity to meet with several qualified buyers and introduce its
competitive products. Several countries showed great interest
such as Brazil, Sao Paolo, USA and Canada for incoming and incentive groups
to Jordan, in addition to interest from several companies in USA to sell
“Voluntourism” to Jordan.
JTM activities included seminars, educational
workshops, networking social events, and a unique pre-scheduled appointments
format that arranged specific 25-minute appointments between the buyers and
suppliers. Most of the international delegates also participated in a
variety of extensive pre- and post-event tours throughout the kingdom.
DOTW
Extranet Agreement For Hotel Suppliers
Destinations of the World - Levant announced that it will sign a new
extranet
agreement with the hotels in Jordan and Syria, which will be an added
value for its suppliers.
The
extranet
will allow the hotels to log on into DOTW online reservation system
“DOTWConnect” and manage their tariff, bookings, allotments, profiles
….etc
online.
The
agreement aims for boosting the ability to serve the hospitality industry
in Jordan and
Syria
and to enable access to continuously updated rates and inventory for
DOTWconnect users.
