Excellent Transit Time from Aqaba to Sokhna, Egypt
Ammon Shipping and Transport
now offering Export Weekly Service to Sokhna port, Egypt.
The
service includes door-to-port , port-to-port service from Jordan to Sokhna
port with only 18 hours transit time.
Shipments are
loaded from Aqaba to Sokhna port directly with Weekly Frequency, ETA Monday,
ETD Tuesday.
Sokhna port is located about 40 KM south of Suez on the Red Sea, the
Egyptian government has allocated 9,000 hectares of land for economic and
industrial development. This area is referred to as the Suez Special
Economic Zone (SSEZ).

Evergreen launches Tyrrhenian Feeder
Service (TFS)
Evergreen Line has launched its new regional service to
cover Italian Tyrrhenian Ports, Tunis and Libya, via its Mediterranean hub
port of Taranto. With this new service, Evergreen is able to add these
ports to its direct global coverage.
The 612TEU vessel, Reecon
Eagle, commences on the beginning of March, 2008 from Taranto to operate
the ten-day rotation as follows:
Taranto - Civitavecchia - La Spezia - Tunis - Misratah -
Taranto
The company's spokesman says:
"This new feeder service is
providing customers with greater capacity, improving operation efficiency
and schedule integrity; moreover, it is helping to create a win-win
situation for both shippers and the carrier to seize new business
opportunities in Tyrrhenian and North Africa areas."
Evergreen
Line celebrates Adriatic service upgrading on the maiden call to Trieste
of the first 5000TEU vessel ‘ITAL LAGUNA’a
On March 13, 2008 Ital Laguna, Evergreen Group’s largest
container vessel ever to sail in the Adriatic Sea, called Trieste Marine Terminal (TMT) on her first voyage from China to Adriatic
Sea.
She is the first of four similar 5090TEU ships built in South Korea for
deployment on the Far-East - Adriatic service (ADR) that calls Trieste on
weekly basis.
The 54.152 G.T. Ital Laguna has an overall length of
294.05 m and a beam of
32.20 m. Her speed is 24.3 knots.
On behalf of
Evergreen Line, Mr. Jefferson Lin, Managing Director of ITS stated:
“We
expect that this upgrading Service will meet the increasing demand of
cargo for direct links between China
and South Germany and
Eastern Europe region via Trieste gateway”.
The ADR
service will therefore provide a
faster and regular connection between China and the Adriatic,
with the
following port rotation:
Shanghai - Ningbo – Hong Kong - Yantian – Tanjung Pelepas – Alexandria
Dekheila – Taranto - Trieste – Koper – Rijeka – Taranto – Tanjung Pelepas
– Shanghai
Evergreen new service from/to Australia
Evergreen
has reinstated its service linking South East Asia and Australia.
Evergreen started offering a weekly express service.
This new
service gives Evergreen Line’s customers in Jordan the chance to
import/export their cargo from/to Australia.

Evergreen
wins most admired company award 2007
Evergreen
Marine Corp. has been awarded the title of Most Admired Company for the
marine shipping industry category in the Most Admired Company 2007 survey
for the third consecutive year from Taiwan's Commonwealth Magazine.
Evergreen Marine president Yen Ho-Yao accepted the award and said the
company will continue to devote its efforts in building a more extensive
shipping network with its peers to connect Taiwan closer to the world.
The Most Admired Company survey was first held in 1994, based on criteria
include an enterprise's financial situation, investment value, application

Evergreen New Weekly Service - Sudan and Yaman
Evergreen launched a
new weekly service connecting Aqaba Port to Sudan Port in Sudan and Hudeidah
Port in Yemen.
The transit time for
the new service is quite competitive and ranges between 6 days to Port Sudan
and 10 days to Hudeidah Port. Both Door to Port and Port to Port service
modes are available, and the vessel departs Aqaba Port every Tuesday.

Supplier To Buyer Package
Ammon Shipping and
Transport started the new "Supplier to Buyer" service package, which is
specifically tailored to serve the needs of factories that import raw
materials from the Far East into Jordan, and export their finished products
to the US West Coast.
Using the Supplier to
Buyer package, factories can use the same container for import, export and
20 days of free storage in between! Factories can now make tremendous
savings on their logistics expenses, as the package rate is significantly
less than the rate for the individual
services,
the trucking expenses will be reduced by 15%, and the extra 76 cubic meters
of temporary storage comes with the package! (volume is for a 40' High Cube
Dry Steel Container).

to Buyer" package, factories will be using Evergreen's excellent services
from the Far East and to the USWC. The vessels arrive to Aqaba Port every
